Where it started
What started as weekend escapes down quiet forest roads gradually turned into a way of life. We began sharing our trips as Off The Beaten Path 4x4, a trail journal built around quiet backroads and the stories you find out there. We’re also trail guides for a leading off-road mapping platform, mapping routes and sharing real-world notes from the places we explore. Boreal Trail Co was built to carry that work the rest of the way, from the trail to your wall and your everyday kit.

What we chase
Years of filming and editing taught us to chase good light and clean stories. Years of exploring taught us to slow down and notice the details that make a place feel alive: fresh tracks after rain, aspens shaking in a fall breeze, the moment a shelf road opens into a sky full of stars.

How we work
We explore the West, mostly Utah, record legal routes, and share what we learn so others can adventure responsibly. Our process is hands-on: we plan each outing, scout the route, and photograph it like we’re telling a story from the first trail marker to the last overlook. Back home, we finish every image with a light touch so what you hang on the wall feels like the place itself.

What you’ll find here
Every piece in this shop began on a real trail. Our prints are produced to look sharp, last long, and do justice to the original scene. Metal prints are our premium line, and canvas is a more affordable entry option. Our apparel and goods are made for everyday wear: simple, durable, and grounded in the places we love.
